PhD in Physics from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP) in 2006. João is currently the Vice-President of the Institute of Material Physics of the University of Porto (IFIMUP) and Vice -President of the Micro and Nano-Manufacturing Unit of the University of Porto (CEMUP-MNTEC). He is also a Visiting Professor and member of the Scientific Committee of the Master in Physics Engineering at the Department of Physics and Astronomy of FCUP.
